To explore more of the motifs of science and technology one must explore the Birla Planetarium and Science Museum. This dome shaped architecture was inaugurated in 1985 by late Sri N.T.Rama Rao. It is a not to be missed planetarium to the kids. It is located at Naubat Pahad in the heart of Hyderabad.
The daily sky shows telecasted both in English and Telegu recites various aspects of the cosmos including the mystery of the universe, Hubble Space Telescope, Eclipses, the puzzling Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO's) and the recent clash of the Titans. One will enjoy this show which will transfer them into a world of the galaxies.

The prime attraction of the museum is its Dinosorium which houses the fossil of 160 million years old "Kotasaurus Yamanpalliensis", dug up in Adilabad district. It also houses some smaller fossils of eggs, marine shells and fossilized tree trunks.
It is closed on the last Thursday of the month. If you visit Hyderabad with your kids, you must set out to this planetarium.
