Built by Ibrahim Qutub Shah in 1562, on the tributary of the River Musi, Hussain Sagar connects the two cities-Hyderabad and Secunderabad. The main attraction of the Hussain Sagar Lake is its 16 meter tall and 350-tonne monolithic gigantic Buddha sculpture nestled amidst the waters of the lake. Made of white granite this statue is dazzling in the middle of the lake. One can explore this statue cruising on a boat which will be a memorable ride of life.
Water sports buff can enjoy here water-skiing, para sailing and various others. It is a nice place for temporary sojourn in Hyderabad.
